Frequently asked questions

Does the dhoop smell like cow dung?

Not at all! While we use sun-dried Desi Cow Dung as a base, it acts as an odorless, natural combustible. What you will actually smell are the premium upcycled flowers, Vedic herbs (Hawan Samagri), and pure essential oils. The result is a deep, woody, and earthy aroma—reminiscent of a traditional temple—rather than a pungent "farm" scent.

Why is cow dung better than charcoal?

Most commercial sticks use charcoal, which releases carbon monoxide and sulfur dioxide when burnt, often leading to headaches or respiratory discomfort. Cow dung is a traditional air purifier. Ancient wisdom (and modern observation) suggests that burning cow dung releases oxygen and has anti-bacterial properties, making the air in your home feel "lighter" and cleaner.

What do you mean by "Upcycled Flowers"?

Every day, quintals of floral offerings (marigolds, roses, jasmine) from temples are discarded into rivers, causing water pollution. We collect these "blessed" flowers, sun-dry them, and grind them into a powder to give them a second life in our dhoop sticks. It’s our way of keeping our rivers clean and your prayers circular.

Are Divyagrah products natural?

Yes. We take pride in a Zero-Chemical policy.
We use only what nature provides: dung, flowers, herbs, resins, and oils.

How long does one dhoop stick burn?

On average, a Divyagrah stick burns for about long burning time then other dhoop stick. However, because we use high-quality essential oils and resins, the soothing fragrance will linger in your room for 2–3 hours after the stick has finished burning.

Is it safe to use around pets and children?

Absolutely. Since our sticks are charcoal-free and made from organic ingredients, the smoke is non-toxic and much gentler on sensitive noses (both human and furry!). As with any fire-based product, we recommend keeping it in a well-ventilated area and out of direct reach of children.

What is the "Hawan Samagri" in your sticks?

Our Hawan Samagri is a curated blend of over 12 Ayurvedic herbs, including Guggul, Loban, Jatamansi, and Nagarmotha. These have been used for centuries in Indian households to clear negative energy and promote mental clarity.
